Is this only for beachfront hotels?
Not at all. If you have a view worth showing, this is for you — a coastal hotel or resort, a mountain lodge, a vineyard, a safari camp overlooking a waterhole, a harbour, a garden. The camera doesn't care what it's pointed at, and neither do we. If your view draws people, it belongs online.
How does the camera get online — do you install it?
You do, and it's genuinely just plugging it in. The camera arrives set up for your view. Mount it, connect a single network cable that carries both power and internet, and it finds itself and starts streaming to Real View automatically. There's no recorder, no software and nothing to configure. If you'd like a hand, we're on the end of the phone.
Can I put the live view on my own website?
Yes — that's one of the main reasons to have it. You get an ad-free, branded embed of your live view to drop straight onto your own pages. A moving shot of the real view sells a room far better than a still photo, and it costs nothing extra to run.
Can I stream it to YouTube?
Yes — and you choose which. We can put your live view on your own YouTube channel, or on the Real View channel if you'd prefer we host it, running 24/7. Either way it's a permanent live stream that keeps you discoverable, with nothing for you to manage.
What are the highlights and timelapses for?
Social media, mainly. Each day the camera produces a short sunrise and sunset clip and the best moment of the day, and you can build a timelapse from any stretch of footage you like. They all download ready to post — a steady stream of beautiful content for your feeds, with nothing to film or edit.
What is Real View, and what do I get from it?
Real View is a TV app — people watch beautiful live views on their televisions around the clock, the calm scenery you leave playing in the background. Your view joins it, and we're extending the same views onto screens in places like care homes, waiting rooms and receptions. It's extra exposure for your location, included in your plan.
What do I need on site?
A clear view, and a network point with internet the camera can reach. It's powered over that same network cable (PoE), so there's no separate power lead to run out to it. If your network sockets don't supply power, a small PoE injector — which we can provide — sits between the camera and your router and adds it. And if the connection drops for a while, the camera holds onto its footage and uploads it when it's back, so you don't lose your clips.
Who owns the footage — can I use it in marketing?
It's yours to use. Download your clips and timelapses and put them wherever you like — website, social, brochures, ads. That's exactly what they're for.
Can I have more than one camera?
Absolutely. Many locations run several — the beach one way, the bay the other, the sunset over the hills. Each one points at the scenery rather than your guests, so you're always showing your best views. See any of them live and pull clips and timelapses from each, all under one account.
